In addition to countless dances, birthday and anniversary celebrations, the band has been an integral part of many major events, including the NHL Awards, the Canadian Curling Championships, the Collingwood Elvis Festival, the Grey Cup Celebration Rally and special performances to honor visits to Canada by both H.R.H. Prince Charles and H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II.
The Dave Murphy Band's musicianship and energetic performances have made them one of the most popular acts on the Toronto club circuit over the last decade. At the clubs the guys enjoy playing Blues, Funk, Rock and Soul as well as their own original music. The band has been performing weekly at the legendary Orbit Room in downtown Toronto for the past eight years, and Dave also leads the Healey's house band and performs weekly with guitar virtuoso Jeff Healey at his club in Toronto. The Dave Murphy Band has also opened for a number of great acts, including The Bare Naked Ladies and the Godfather of Soul himself: James Brown.
Please remember that Dave is also a very accomplished solo pianist and vocalist. Whether you would like to sing along to your favorite piano songs or simply accent your event with some nice background piano music, solo piano adds a nice touch to any occasion.
